Madrid stoner doom trio ELECTRIC VALLEY have released a video and single for "Gata", premiered by Decibel magazine. It is the opening track of their new album, Echo, out November 6 on Small Stone Recordings. Earlier this month we covered the first single, "Strange Land".
Bassist and vocalist Miky Simón explains: "'Gata' narrates a space mission that ends in catastrophe. Two humans destined to spend eternity together see their destiny truncated in a space odyssey that breaks their ties and ends their mission in an unexpected and tragic way. A psychedelic beginning with kraut rock vibes and space rock atmospheres grows until it explodes with the perfect storm of heavy riffs to narrate a crushing ending."
Echo was recorded live by Javier Ortiz at Estudio Brazil in Madrid, mixed by drummer Charlie Sánchez and mastered by Chris Gossman at Baseline Audio Labs. It will be available on CD and digitally through Small Stone, and on limited vinyl through Kozmik Artifactz.
Formed in 2014, ELECTRIC VALLEY have released the 51973 EP, the albums Multiverse (2015), Two Realities At War (2017) and Tapes From The Galactic Tavern (2021), and Live At Stone Giant (2024).
