ENTHEOS have released a video for "Hell Is A Part Of Me", the track that opens their new album Empty On The Inside, which came out on October 23 via Metal Blade Records. The clip was directed by Malcolm Pugh.
Vocalist Chaney Crabb describes the song as being about owning your darkness instead of pretending it isn't there. Too often, she says, people feel they have to hide their darker side to be accepted, and the song pushes back against that: pain can be something you acknowledge in yourself without letting it define you. For the band, she adds, it works as a statement that sums up what ENTHEOS are about, with catchy riffs, anthemic choruses and a heavy breakdown.
It is the third video from the record, following "Golden Crown" and "Undone". Empty On The Inside pairs Crabb and multi-instrumentalist Navene Koperweis (ex-ANIMALS AS LEADERS, ANIMOSITY) with guitarists Scott Carstairs (FALLUJAH) and Michael Stancel (ALLEGAEON). Mark Lewis (THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, FALLUJAH, WHITECHAPEL) produced it, Justin Sturtz mastered it at Sterling Sound, and Zac Shiffer created the artwork. The album leans more melodic and chorus-driven than the band's earlier, more progressive and death metal–rooted releases, while keeping the intensity.
