Tokyo melodic power metal band HAGANE have signed with Napalm Records. The deal is worldwide for physical formats, excluding Japan, and covers the band's upcoming album Through The Night, which Napalm will release on CD and vinyl outside Japan on January 15, 2027.
Formed in 2018, HAGANE mix big melodies with fast, technical guitar work, and their first real European outing came this summer at Germany's Rockharz Festival. That set is what caught the label's attention. "HAGANE absolutely impressed us at this year's Rockharz Festival," says Napalm senior A&R Sebastian Münch. "For fans of melodic power metal, this is definitely a band to watch!"
The band, for its part, singled out a few of its new labelmates — DRAGONFORCE, KAMELOT, ACCEPT, FROZEN CROWN and ALTER BRIDGE — noting that DRAGONFORCE songs had been covered on YouTube by guitarist Sakura and drummer Junna. "Through this partnership, the new album, 'Through The Night', will be released globally on both CD and vinyl," the band says. "Please stay tuned for HAGANE's future activities on the global stage."
The road back to Europe is already mapped out: in spring 2027 HAGANE will play four shows in Germany and Denmark in support of the album. In the meantime, here is the band's video for "Tsukikage":
HAGANE are Nagi (vocals), Sakura (guitars), Sayaka (bass) and Junna (drums).
