French modern metal quintet HYPERDUMP have shared an official music video for "PimpleJunkieBoy", taken from their latest album Weird Stories From Dumptown, which is out now on all platforms.
The album first came out in a limited run in 2025 and has since been pushed to a wider international audience. It picks up the conceptual world the band built on The Weak Man and spreads it across nine self-contained but connected stories set in the fictional Dumptown, a place full of damaged characters and uncomfortable ideas. "PimpleJunkieBoy" is the latest of those stories to get a video, and it leans on the band's usual mix of groove, melody, technical playing and abrupt turns. The press release name-checks FAITH NO MORE, Devin Townsend, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, SOILWORK and MESHUGGAH as reference points.
HYPERDUMP have been active for close to two decades, with three full-length albums and an EP behind them. Over the years they have worked with guest vocalists Guillaume Bideau (SCARVE, MNEMIC, ONE-WAY MIRROR), Arno Strobl (CARNIVAL IN COAL, 6:33) and former IRON MAIDEN singer Blaze Bayley, and have shared a stage with AGNOSTIC FRONT.
