French raw black metal project HYVER — featuring members of VÉHÉMENCE, GRYLLE and HANTERNOZ — has unveiled "Arrivée de l'Ambulance," the second track revealed from its fourth album, La Fête de la Forêt Enchantée. The record is out today, October 8, via Antiq.
The new song closes the album and its story. La Fête de la Forêt Enchantée tells its tale through track titles alone: an invitation, a mysterious path through the woods, a moonlit dance in the clearing and a toast of the toads — until someone stamps on a toad. "Arrivée de l'Ambulance" is the finale, where the party collapses into confusion and the howl of an ambulance siren racing to save the poor creature.
The band pitches the album as a reply to TAUFPATIN's attacks, delivered "only with positivity, brightness and joy." HYVER teams up with Koshka Netopyr (Little Bat) for raw black metal with bat shrieks for vocals, playful synths and aggressive drumming. The first single, "La Danse de la Forêt Enchantée," arrived last month, when we covered the album announcement.
