Danish death metal/metallic hardcore outfit LIFESICK will release their fifth full-length, When Brutality Becomes The Language, on January 22, 2027 via Metal Blade Records. The announcement comes with a video for the new single "All Eyes On Me."
The album title finally puts a name to the run of singles we've been following all year: "Die With Me," "At War With You" and "Hard To Kill" all land on the record, alongside the new track. According to the band, "All Eyes On Me" is "built for the pit," moving from groovy riffs through beatdown sections into a closing breakdown "made to clear the floor." Lyrically, it's about being impossible to ignore and refusing to disappear.
The Jutland band, who marked their tenth anniversary in 2024, once again worked with longtime sound man Jacob Bredahl, the former HATESPHERE vocalist. The band says he "understands exactly what we want LIFESICK to sound like" and now "almost feels like the sixth member." Mastering was handled by Brad Boatright. The label describes the record as LIFESICK's most focused to date: death metal riffing, fast hardcore energy and HM-2 crunch, with lyrics built around survival, confrontation and resilience.
As usual, the band brought in guests: Jonathan Albrechtsen (ROT AWAY) and Victor Kaas (EYES) on "No Bark, All Bite," Nitisart "Mike" Chaiburi (WHISPERS) on "Damaged Goods," Hallgeir Skretting Enoksen (PURIFIED IN BLOOD) on "Scum" and Christoffer Bach Kofoed (NECKBREAKKER) on "Assassination Culture."
The album is coming on CD, digital and red/black splatter vinyl (EU, limited to 500).
