MESHUGGAH Announce 'The Forty-Year Anomaly' 2027 North American Tour With TESTAMENT And BLOOD INCANTATION

27 October 2026  ·  Tour News  · By Scorpio

MESHUGGAH will mark their 40th anniversary with "The Forty-Year Anomaly", a North American tour running from February to May 2027. TESTAMENT and BLOOD INCANTATION come along as special guests. The Swedes will make their Red Rocks Amphitheatre debut on April 21 and also play Oakland's Fox Theater and the Brooklyn Paramount.

The tour comes in two legs. The first opens on February 12 in Toronto and works through the Midwest and the East Coast to Boston on March 6. The second starts on April 15 in Vancouver, heads down the West Coast and through Texas and the South, and closes with festival slots at Welcome To Rockville, Sonic Temple and Milwaukee Metal Fest in May. We already reported that MESHUGGAH are on the Sonic Temple 2027 bill.

Tickets go on general sale on Friday, October 30, at 10 a.m. local time via meshuggah.net/tour. An artist presale started today, October 27.

It is hard to overstate how much the Umeå band changed the language of heavy music. From Destroy Erase Improve and Chaosphere to Nothing, their polyrhythmic, dissonant, brutally physical sound shaped generations of players across progressive and technical metal, while the band itself never quite fit any of the scenes it inspired. We gave obZen a 9.5/10 back in 2008. "Clockworks" earned a Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance in 2018, and 2022's Immutable topped the U.K. Rock & Metal Albums chart and Billboard's Top Hard Rock Albums chart.

The bill is a heavyweight one in its own right: Bay Area thrash veterans TESTAMENT and Denver's cosmic death metal explorers BLOOD INCANTATION.
