METALLICA have released an official, professionally filmed video of "The Call Of Ktulu" from October 1 at Sphere in Las Vegas, the night that opened their "Life Burns Faster" residency.

The nine-minute instrumental, which closes Ride The Lightning (1984), landed eleventh in that opening set, right after "Nothing Else Matters" and before 72 Seasons cut "Lux Æterna". Until now, the only footage from the night was shot by fans.

The residency runs to 24 shows, set up as 12 "No Repeat Weekends" in the "M72" mold: Thursday and Saturday get two completely different setlists. After the first eight October dates, the band added November 5 and 7, January 28 and 30, six nights in February and four in March, with the final show on March 13, 2027.

The 17,600-capacity Sphere wraps the audience in a 16K LED screen and runs a HOLOPLOT-powered immersive sound system. Lars Ulrich has said the idea came to him about 12 seconds into U2's opening night at the venue in 2023.

We ran the full opening-night setlist the day after the show, followed by the second night, when the band brought back "Devil's Dance" for the first time in 18 years.
