Boston progressive metal band NATIVE CONSTRUCT will end their long hiatus at ProgStorm Festival 2027 in Montréal, where they will perform their 2015 album Quiet World in its entirety. They are the first act confirmed for the festival's third edition, set for August 20–22, 2027, at Club Soda.

Formed in 2011 by students at Berklee College of Music, NATIVE CONSTRUCT released Quiet World through Metal Blade Records in April 2015. Its theatrical storytelling and abrupt shifts between heaviness, jazz and classical influences won the record a devoted cult following that has only grown during the band's years away. Before going quiet, they toured with BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME, ENSLAVED, INTRONAUT, MANDROID ECHOSTAR and AURAS.

Promoters Jici Lord-Gauthier and Eddy Levitsky say the full 18-band lineup is already locked, and the remaining 17 names will be revealed over the coming weeks. The organizers promise North American debuts, hidden gems of the genre, artists returning to Montréal after more than a decade, reunions and established favorites.

Lord-Gauthier says the aim is a bill of bands that fans rarely, if ever, get to see on North American stages, alongside others that are just as elusive in Europe, so that people traveling from either side of the Atlantic find something they would otherwise never experience live. Levitsky adds that the team is proud of the bands joining next year and expects prog metal fans to share their excitement.

After two editions, ProgStorm has grown into a meeting point for the international progressive metal community, drawing fans from well beyond Québec and Canada.
