Osmose Productions will release The Annihilation Chalice, the fourth full-length from Italian black/death metallers NECROMUTILATOR, on November 27 on CD and vinyl LP. The first taste, "Siege Diabolicum", is streaming now on the label's official YouTube channel.
The label pitches the record as pure wrathful chaos: riffs of infernal death fused with hammering war drums and possessed vocals, all aimed at "the ultimate retaliation and revenge against the universe." Eight original tracks of what Osmose calls violent torture are rounded off by a cover of SARCÓFAGO's "Deathrash", a fitting nod to the Brazilian pioneers whose fingerprints are all over this style.
The cover artwork is by Chris Moyen, the French artist whose pen-and-ink nightmares have graced countless underground black and death metal records.
"Siege Diabolicum" sits fifth in the running order and gives a fair idea of the album's pace, with most songs landing in the four-to-five-minute range and the closing cover clocking in at barely a minute and a half.
