Galway-born Irish/Polish outfit PSYCHOTIC OUTSIDER will release their second full-length, Armageddon, on October 23 on CD via Via Nocturna. The band have premiered an official music video for the single "Welcome Oblivion."
Formed in August 2018 in Galway, the quartet mix hardcore, metal and punk into an aggressive, groove-driven attack; the label points fans of LAMB OF GOD, DECAPITATED and PANTERA their way. Armageddon follows the 2020 debut Psyching Out Mentality, the EPs End of the Line (2022) and 6 (2024), and the 2023 single "Till We Decay."
Guitarist and band leader Piotr Michalik describes the record as an exploration of the world around us and its effect on people, taking in mental health, climate change, christo-fascism, social justice and mass violence. According to Michalik, the album starts from a place of deep anxiety and trauma and gradually moves toward defiance and vengeance.
Armageddon was recorded, mixed and mastered by Michael Richards at Trackmix Studio (KHÔRA, CRUACHAN), with cover art by Helena Jennings. The band have played Ireland's Siege of Limerick, Bloodstock's Metal 2 The Masses and Templemore Metal Fest.
