REPENTANCE have released "Among The Wolves", the third single from their upcoming album Retaliate. The record, the Chicago groove metal band's third full-length, comes out on November 27 via Noble Demon.
Vocalist Adam Gilley calls the song "one of my favorites off the album" and says it deals with "intense feelings of betrayal, anger, and disillusionment toward someone who has caused deep emotional pain."
Retaliate was originally due this summer. The band pushed it back to late November after founding guitarist Shaun Glass died unexpectedly on July 1, 2026. Glass spent more than four decades in the Chicago metal underground, with stints in TERMINAL DEATH, SINDROME, BROKEN HOPE, SOIL, DIRGE WITHIN and THE BLOODLINE before he started REPENTANCE in 2018. The album now stands as the last music he made with the band.
In September the band paid tribute to him with "Fade Into Silence", a song Glass wrote himself, which we covered at the time. The record was produced by Alex Lackner at Accelerated Sound and mixed by Ari Mihalopoulos at Inner Light Studio.
REPENTANCE debuted with God For A Day in 2020, introduced Gilley on the 2021 EP Volume I - Reborn and followed with The Process Of Human Demise in 2023.
