SILVERTOMB have shared a lyric video for "Brain Matter / No God", the opening track of their second album, The Interpretation Of Nightmares, out November 13 via Steamhammer.
The band is led by former TYPE O NEGATIVE and DANZIG members Kenny Hickey (vocals, guitar) and Johnny Kelly (drums), with Joe James (guitar, ex-AGNOSTIC FRONT), Hank Hell (bass, SHEER TERROR) and Aaron Joos (guitar, keyboards, vocals). Hickey says "Brain Matter / No God" was the first song written for the album, and its heavy main riff comes back in different forms throughout the record. The lyric describes a nightmare in which the dreamer is shot and experiences his own death inside the dream.
The doom-leaning album comes seven years after the 2019 debut Edge Of Existence. Hickey has said the pandemic stalled the band just as things were taking off, including a planned tour with MONSTER MAGNET, and that he also had to deal with a drinking problem in that period.
Earlier singles were "No Way To Live" and "Graves In The Sky".
