RATT vocalist Stephen Pearcy has set a new window for his sixth solo album, "The Dogg Mob": the record is now due in January or February 2027 through his own Top Fuel Records label. Before that, a new single from the album lands on Friday, November 20, 2026.
The album was written and recorded with Pearcy's longtime guitarist Erik Ferentinos, while bassist Matt Thorne handled recording, arranging and mixing and co-produced the music at his MT Studios. Pearcy promises an all-star cast of guest musicians and a few surprise cameos, and he isn't underselling it: according to the singer, the band is "really excited" about the material, "looking to start some shit," and the songs are "insane."
"The Dogg Mob" has been trickling out for most of the year. In February, Pearcy previewed a snippet of "Drive All Night Long" on Instagram, featuring a still-unnamed guest on lead guitar. In April he followed with "I Need U," offered as a free download from his official site, with Pearcy on vocals and rhythm guitar, Ferentinos on guitar, Thorne on bass, Blas Elias on drums and another undisclosed guest guitarist.
The new record will be Pearcy's first solo full-length since 2018's "View To A Thrill" on Frontiers, the follow-up to 2017's "Smash." Outside his solo work, Pearcy has spent the last year and a half playing occasional shows with his longtime RATT bandmate Warren DeMartini under the PEARCY/DEMARTINI banner.
Pearcy has run a solo career alongside RATT since 1992, and he has long described it as the place where he can go wherever he likes, from acoustic songs to really heavy ones, without the band's rules.
