Maryland deathcore band THUS SPOKE ZARATHUSTRA have released a new single and video, "In My Dreams…," out now on Prosthetic Records.
Vocalist Andy Reynolds sees the track as the point where the band found their own voice. "This song feels like what the band has been trying to do since the beginning," he said. "It feels like a THUS SPOKE ZARATHUSTRA song, not a Myspace deathcore revival song." The lyrics, he adds, are also about being boxed in: knowing when you choose to believe something and when you're just following orders. "Question everything… even God."
The Baltimore-area five-piece — Reynolds, guitarists Evan McArthur and Scott Chan, bassist Bradon Albaugh and drummer Joey Bowers — arrived in 2022 with deathcore that leans on Gothenburg-style melodic death metal. Two albums followed: Act Like You Don't Know (2023) and I'm Done With Self Care, It's Time For Others' Harm (2025).
The band are on the road for most of November and early December: a warm-up show in Charlotte, sixteen dates with GIRLS OF GLASS and XMERCYX, then a headlining run with DESTROY ALL! HUMANS and THE CRIMSON ARMADA on select dates.
