VANISHING POINT Release 'Sirens', Second Single From 'Eremition'

VANISHING POINT have released "Sirens", the second single from Eremition, their seventh studio album and first in six years, due worldwide on November 20. It follows "Bring Me The Night", which came out last month.

Longtime guitarist Chris Porcianko says the song is about the downfall of humanity: we are wired into technology while our morality goes dormant and decays, flooded with information, "run by a world of fools" and looking out for one another less than we used to. He adds that "Sirens" picks up where "Dead Elysium", the title track of the band's 2020 album, left off, and that the two songs are connected.

Porcianko calls Eremition an album about loss, gain, understanding, letting go and moving on without carrying negative energy, and says the long gap comes down to the band's quality-over-quantity approach.

Formed in Melbourne more than three decades ago, VANISHING POINT debuted with In Thought in 1997 and have since toured Europe and Japan, played in the US and shared stages with IRON MAIDEN, NIGHTWISH, HELLOWEEN and GAMMA RAY. They were also the first unsigned Australian band to play Wacken Open Air.
