Hellenic black metal outfit YOTH IRIA have released an official video for "Dare to Rebel," taken from their third album Gone With The Devil, which is out now on Metal Blade Records. Alongside the clip, the band announced a European tour for March 2027 with THULCANDRA and VORGA.
"Dare to Rebel" is the fourth video from the record, following "Harut, Government, Fallen," "The Blind Eye Of Antichrist" and "Blessed Be He Who Enters," which we covered when the album was first announced back in April. Gone With The Devil follows the 2021 debut As The Flame Withers and 2024's Blazing Inferno, and the band describe it as an attempt to keep the immediacy of its predecessor and the psychedelia of the debut while adding sounds never heard from YOTH IRIA before: stately tempos, Mediterranean folk touches and gothic cadences around the blastbeats.
The band's name has deep roots in the Greek scene. "Yoth Iria" first appeared on ROTTING CHRIST's 1993 debut Thy Mighty Contract; bassist and lyricist Jim Mutilator co-founded that band in 1984 and was also an early member of VARATHRON. Today he is joined by vocalist HE, guitarists Nikolas Perlepe and Naberius, and drummer Bill "Vongaar" Stavrianidis.
