Caregriever ended a decade-long silence for the band. The album traces five years of watching a loved one slowly decline and die, digging into the grief, anger, guilt and exhaustion of prolonged caregiving. Musically it trades much of the symphonic sweep of earlier records for a darker, more immediate post-black metal sound laced with industrial and punk. Zak Denham and Zachary Kerr produced and recorded it, with Denham also mixing and mastering.
The album is out on the band's own Negative Reflections (US LP and digital), Bölverk Collective (US CD), Vendetta Records (EU CD/LP) and So Below Productions (cassette).
