HUMILIATE have signed to DAZE and marked the deal with a new EP, Sense in Belonging / On Contrition, which is out now. The cassette edition is available to preorder through the label.
The band from the US northeast started in 2024 as a college capstone project and quickly grew into something more serious. Their sound sits where metalcore meets mathcore, and the press materials name CANDIRIA, CAR BOMB, NECK and THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN as touchstones. The new EP follows 2025's Earthly Bounds and, like its predecessor, was recorded and produced by the band themselves.
The release runs three tracks. "Sense in Belonging" opens with frenzied riffing and harsh vocals before dropping into a jazz-tinged breakdown, a short, crushing reprise follows, and "On Contrition" closes things on a more hardcore footing, still built on odd time signatures and heavy, metallic grooves.
