MURDERDOLLS Reunite For Graspop Metal Meeting 2027, Their First Show In Nine Years

MURDERDOLLS are coming back. On Friday, November 6, frontman Wednesday 13 and the family of the band's late co-founder Joey Jordison announced that the horror-glam outfit has joined the lineup of Graspop Metal Meeting 2027 in Dessel, Belgium. It will be the band's first show in nine years.

The Jordison family confirmed the booking on social media, while Wednesday 13 kept his own post to three words: "MURDERDOLLS… coming 2027." Both shared a short teaser built around "Slit My Wrist", a track from the band's 2002 debut Beyond The Valley Of The Murderdolls, which turns 25 next year — so the timing is no accident.

No lineup has been confirmed yet. Wednesday 13 is the only certainty; guitarist Acey Slade and bassist Eric Griffin, who toured the debut back in the day, are widely expected to be part of it.

The last time MURDERDOLLS songs were played live under the band's name was in 2018, when Wednesday 13, Slade and Griffin got together at Lucky Strike Live in Hollywood for a show honoring drummer Ben "The Ghoul" Graves, who died that year.

Jordison formed MURDERDOLLS as a side outlet while drumming for SLIPKNOT, and the band went on hiatus after the first album's touring cycle so he could return to his main band. A second record, Women And Children Last, followed in 2010, made by Wednesday 13 and Jordison as a duo. Jordison died in July 2021 at the age of 46, which makes any return without him a tribute as much as a reunion.

Graspop Metal Meeting is one of Europe's biggest metal festivals and traditionally takes place in mid-to-late June. Further 2027 announcements are expected in the coming months.
