Italian post-groove metal band NOUMENIA have released their new single, "Shards", which is now available on all streaming platforms through Eclipse Records. The label describes the track as "brutally emotional".
A music video for the song will follow: it premieres worldwide on YouTube on Tuesday, November 10, at 9:15 a.m. EST (16:15 Kyiv time).
"Shards" follows the band's debut full-length Echoes, which Eclipse Records released in June 2025. That album was produced by Richard Meiz of LACUNA COIL and mixed and mastered by Daniele Salomone of INVERNO.
Formed in northern Italy in late 2018, NOUMENIA are vocalist Vivian Nigro, guitarist Matteo Radaelli, bassist Matteo Campagnoli and drummer Samuele Zichi. The band call their sound "post-groove metal": heavy, groove-driven guitars paired with expressive, melodic vocals.
The label hasn't yet said whether "Shards" previews a new album.
