Edinburgh, Scotland's PERPETUA have released their new EP, Saviour To None, via Bleeding Art Collective. The four-track record is the band's first since signing with the label in late 2025.
The band describe the EP as a showcase of what they love as lifelong metal fans: big groovy riffs to bang your head to, thrash passages built for the circle pit, and melodies you can sing along with. They name PANTERA, MACHINE HEAD and SEPULTURA as formative influences, alongside modern acts such as DECAPITATED, SYLOSIS, PSYCROPTIC and LAMB OF GOD.
To mark the release, PERPETUA shared a visualizer for "Descend". "It's about how all things come to an end and those undeniable truths being buried away behind the chaotic world we live in," the band explain. "We wanted to have an impactful anthem that speaks to everyone about reclaiming ourselves in the present and to live without regret. Nothing hurts like regret."
The EP track "Veil Of Deception" is also streaming on the label's YouTube channel:
The band wrote and performed everything themselves. Guitars and vocals were recorded by Andy Dickson, bass by Stephen Dewar, and drums by Mark Tindal at DM Studios; Tindal also mixed and mastered the EP at Open Eyes Productions.
PERPETUA won "Best Metal Act" at the Scottish Alternative Music Awards and have headlined several UK tours. They have shared stages with DECAPITATED, SKINDRED, BLEED FROM WITHIN and ATTILA, opened 2026 supporting EMPLOYED TO SERVE, CAGE FIGHT and CRYPTA, and played alongside Swedish death-thrashers THE HAUNTED in October.
