PRONG have released "New Commission", the third single from their self-titled album, which arrives this Friday, November 6, via Napalm Records. It follows "The Banner" and "Fear The Sun".
The new track is a fast thrash number driven by double-kick and dissonant riffing. Frontman Tommy Victor calls it a "barn burner, banger thrasher of a song with a huge hook and a ferocious breakdown," adding: "It's got it all!"
Prong is the band's first album for Napalm Records, which they joined in June 2025, and their first studio record since 2023's State Of Emergency. Andy Sneap handled mixing and mastering at Backstage Studios, and Victor has described it as possibly "the best PRONG album to date," calling it "a redefining episode" for the band, hence the self-title. The record pulls together thrash, industrial textures and New York hardcore, the blend PRONG have been known for since Beg To Differ (1990) and Cleansing (1994).
The CD edition adds two bonus tracks, "Out Of Body" and a cover of BANANARAMA's "Cruel Summer". Vinyl comes in black, Inkspot Cristallo/Red and white-label variants, plus cap bundles for both the CD and LP.
