Geneva progressive metal band STEREOPHRENICS have released their debut full-length album, Paracosm 2.0, which is out now on all digital platforms via Greensunlight Productions, the label the band has been signed to since 2024.
The record arrives after ten years in which STEREOPHRENICS moved from progressive rock and heavy metal into darker, more theatrical territory, and after two independently released EPs. The addition of vocalist Elisa Colacioppo and bassist and backing vocalist Thijs Kos opened a new chapter for the group, adding metallic weight and sharpening the contrast between power and melancholy. Guitarist Giovanni Tramparulo, keyboardist Nicola Giandomenico and drummer Valentin Boada complete the lineup.
Paracosm 2.0 was first introduced through the single "State of Paradox," which follows a consciousness trapped inside an unresponsive body. Across the album's eight tracks, the band widen that idea into a dystopian journey through altered states, imaginary worlds and inner escape, and the shaky line between perception and reality. Musically, progressive structures, heavy riffs and groove sit alongside gothic tension, atmospheric keyboards and symphonic layers. For reference, the band name PAIN OF SALVATION, EVERGREY, EPICA, LACUNA COIL and THE GATHERING.
The album was recorded, mixed and mastered by Serge Moratel at REC Studio in Geneva.
