SYCOMORE Share Road-Footage Video for "Blague Salace" Ahead of New Album 'Dégradé'

French sludge metal trio SYCOMORE have released a video for "Blague Salace", the second single from their fifth album, Dégradé. The record arrives on November 6, 2026, as a co-production with Araki Records.

Where first single "Chat-Loup" leaned on chase, fear and suffocating pressure, "Blague Salace" opens a different window on the album. Instead of building a story around the song, the band cut the DIY clip together from a whole year of their own footage: shows, travel, backstage moments and the people they met along the way. The idea is to show the messy, lived-in side of making heavy music that usually vanishes once the amps are switched off.

Formed in Amiens in 2015, SYCOMORE have released four albums through Source Atone, Argonauta Records and Uproar for Veneration, and have played more than a hundred shows, sharing stages with AMENRA, COILGUNS, HANGMAN'S CHAIR, OXBOW and WILL HAVEN. Dégradé marks a new chapter: a refreshed lineup, lyrics sung in French and shorter, more direct songs, without losing the darkness and weight at the core of their sound.

The ten-track album was mixed by Etienne Sarthou (AQME, DELIVERANCE) and mastered by Brad Boatright (CODE ORANGE, TORCHE, MUTOID MAN). Fans of CROWBAR, KYLESA, MASTODON, MELVINS and TORCHE should take note.
