WHITECHAPEL have released a music video for "Bedlam", the latest clip from their 2025 Metal Blade album Hymns In Dissonance. It lands less than a week before the Knoxville deathcore band kick off their 20th-anniversary North American headlining tour.
The song reaches back to the story of This Is Exile. According to vocalist Phil Bozeman, it is told by "Daemon" (also known as Craig), the brother of that album's cult leader. Consumed by envy that his older brother was chosen to be "the seed of evil" instead of him, Craig confesses his jealousy while slowly defiling the leader's rotting corpse — and the brother, trapped inside his own dead body, can still feel and hear everything without being able to move. "'Bedlam' is chaos, confusion, and turmoil, which describes this scene," Bozeman explains.
"Bedlam" follows earlier videos for "Prisoner 666", "Hymns In Dissonance", "A Visceral Retch", "Hate Cult Ritual" and "Nothing Is Coming For Any Of Us". The album debuted at No. 2 on Billboard's Current Hard Rock Albums chart.
As we reported in June, the anniversary tour will feature songs from across the band's whole discography. Presented by Live Nation, it opens November 11 at Atlanta's Tabernacle, with Chelsea Grin, The Acacia Strain and Netherwalker in support, and now runs through December 19 in Knoxville. In January, WHITECHAPEL head to Europe with 200 STAB WOUNDS and Tribal Gaze, co-headlining the Irish and UK dates with SYLOSIS, who also join the rest of the run on select dates.
