Salvadoran black/thrash band WITCHGÖAT have revealed "Storming The Walls Of Eternity," the second track from their third album, Serpent Hordes. The song premiered today at No Clean Singing. The record arrives on December 4 via Personal Records on CD, with Morbid Skull Records handling the cassette edition.
"Storming The Walls Of Eternity" sits near the end of the album, the eighth of ten tracks, and follows the title track, which has been streaming on Personal Records' Bandcamp since the album was announced in early October.
Guitarist P. Scyther founded WITCHGÖAT in 2016 with the aim of fusing the raw violence of '80s South American and European thrash with the malevolent melodies of Scandinavian black and blackened death metal. Vocalist M. Miasma came in soon after, bassist C. Fog and drummer E. Driller completed the lineup in 2017, and the band followed the 2018 demo Umbra Regit with the debut album Egregors of the Black Faith and, in 2023, the purer black metal of Altars of Necromancy.
Recorded in 2025, Serpent Hordes pulls the strongest elements of both records together, with sharper songwriting, more prominent guitar solos and a dose of traditional speed metal. The label cites SWORDMASTER, DISSECTION, LORD BELIAL, CROWN OF THORNS and Pleasure to Kill-era KREATOR as reference points. The release also marks the band's 10th anniversary.
