ZP Theart, the original voice of DRAGONFORCE and later frontman of SKID ROW, has released a cover of NIGHTWISH's "Nemo", along with a studio playthrough video on his YouTube channel.
"Nemo" first appeared on NIGHTWISH's 2004 album Once and remains one of the Finnish band's signature songs, built around Tarja Turunen's operatic lead. Theart swaps that for his own rougher, full-throated delivery and pushes the arrangement toward a heavier metal edge, while keeping the melody and the drama that made the original a symphonic metal staple.
Theart fronted DRAGONFORCE from the beginning through 2010, singing on Valley Of The Damned, Sonic Firestorm, Inhuman Rampage and Ultra Beatdown, the run that produced "Through The Fire And Flames". After leaving, he formed I AM I, sang on TANK's 2015 album Valley Of Tears, and joined SKID ROW in 2016, becoming their official singer the following year before parting ways with the band in early 2022.
The cover continues a busy solo year. Theart released the video for his single "Electric Beings" in May, following his solo debut Dark To Light and a 20th-anniversary reworking of "Through The Fire And Flames".
