ARCH ENEMY released their tenth studio album, "Will to Power," on September 8th, 2017, through Century Media. It was the first record written with Jeff Loomis fully integrated as lead guitarist, and the interplay between his phrasing and Michael Amott's gave the band a technical edge it had not carried since the Christopher Amott years. Alissa White-Gluz, on her second album as vocalist, sang cleanly for the first time on "Reason to Believe," a decision that split the fanbase and dominated the album's press coverage. Elsewhere "The World Is Yours," "The Race" and "Blood in the Water" are as ferocious as anything in the catalogue. The album charted in the top ten across Germany, Sweden, Finland and Switzerland, confirming ARCH ENEMY as one of the few melodic death metal bands operating at genuine mainstream scale.
