One glance at the cover art and I immediately recognized the hand of master Niklas Sundin. A familiar style, brilliant work! The music is equally impressive. Symphonic black metal with death metal touches in the vein of later DIMMU BORGIR. Fortunately, the sound isn't as polished or sterile-sounding as on BORGIR's latest effort. The compositions, ranging from 6 to 8 and a half minutes, never feel artificially dragged out — they are excellently thought-out and structured. A special compliment goes to the recording and mixing quality. This quintet of Austrians with a lead keyboardist deserves your attention!
