Now this is what happens when people are truly dedicated to their craft. Instead of taking a break from their main musical endeavors to put together some relaxing synth-pop project or, at the very least, a gothic metal side gig — no, these restless Swedes have crafted a soundtrack to a maniac's thoughts, cooking up classic Swedish death metal with a distinctively dialed-in guitar tone. Clearly, the spirit of experimentation still won't leave Dan Swano in peace.

What else can be added to the musical portrait of this album?

Practically orthodox death metal, reasonably varied, employing both standard, long-tested approaches and quite interesting ideas and tricks (though you need to listen extensively to truly get into them). Of course, the guys haven't reinvented the wheel, but this release is far from being just another one among many. It possesses its own inimitable atmosphere of a sick, maniacal consciousness — Memories choke me Chloroform drenched anxiety Corpse provoke me NO more killing variety...

This picture is aptly complemented by Travis Smith's artwork, which perfectly captures the mood of the disc.

So what we get is a slab of old, already rotting meat — and whether you consume it or not is, as always, up to you.
