From the very first day of their existence, from their very first album, the band has astonished listeners with the intricacy, unconventionality, and diversity of its musical forms (having once even swapped its death-grind essence for a doom-laden one). The dry term "techno death/grind," which to an uninitiated listener signifies nothing but the triumph of total chaos and a pileup of sounds, screams, and noise, means something different to the knowing and attentive ear — it is also chaos, but ordered chaos, chaos that only upon repeated listening reveals its elegant, structured design. Chaos in which no single element is accidental or superfluous. Musical chaos that, upon more careful and attentive listening, appears far more coherent and logical than any pop creation accessible to the widest masses. Understanding the futility of my explanations and exhortations, fully aware that the band is unlikely to open a path to the hearts of a broad audience with this album, I nonetheless hope that at least someone among those unafraid to think more broadly, to push the boundaries of their musical horizons — at least someone, having read this text, will dare to discover for themselves the beautiful (terrible) and elegant (chaotic) musical universe in which CEPHALIC CARNAGE lives and creates.
