New growth in German folk/melodic death metal. The standard set -- excellent screaming-growling, boisterous songs. However, everything is rather drawn out -- five songs at eight minutes each inspire doubts about their necessity. Plus, it's monotonous in places -- not enough variation in the rhythm section and vocal lines. But in truth none of that really matters, because the highlight of this act is the use of... an ACCORDION! You can't imagine how fresh an accordion sounds in melodic death metal! And while the presence of this gimmick in no way cancels the complaints about some monotony and excessive length, I will still give an advance score of eight out of ten for innovation, with the hope that on the next release the guys will work on the noted shortcomings.
