Is thrash metal making a comeback? I can't say for sure, but interest in various hybrids with other styles is certainly growing.

On their second album, Danish outfit HATESPHERE offer melodic death metal on a solid modernized thrash foundation, with the latter component predominating.

The material turned out energetic, powerful, and technical, moderately melodic and modern, yet not particularly interesting. There are a few curious and memorable compositions, but it's hard to say much more than that. Everything is certainly well-crafted, but since we're talking about thrash-death, I'd recommend the fellow Danes INVOCATOR or the more vicious, heavier, and more technical Germans Dew-Scented.
