I had the good fortune of getting acquainted with this legend (sadly not in person) relatively recently, thanks to Nebel, for which I owe him great thanks. I liked the music — otherwise I wouldn't have ripped the MP3 compilation for myself or requested this album for review.
Well then, the new album from the British duo is quite strong. These goths have delved even deeper into erotic territory, placing on the cover an image that could easily qualify as a Kama Sutra cover illustration. I simply cannot figure out the secret of INKUBUS SUKKUBUS. Plastic-sounding drums, uncomplicated song structures, and yet it's so pleasant to listen to! Candia's lovely voice undoubtedly contributes greatly to this.
The album has its strong songs and its weaker ones, and then there are tracks like Hedonistic Gene — a rather sensual composition that hooked me the most. And in the middle of the album you'll encounter a cover of Australian pop star Kylie Minogue's I Just Can't Get You Out Of My Head. I hope these British pagan goths will continue to delight us with their new works!
