LJUNGBLUT is the brainchild of Kim Ljung, bassist of the fairly well-known but currently somewhat quieted Norwegian synth-goth metallers ZEROMANCER. Following the prevailing trend where side projects typically result in just one album, "Ljung's Blood" released their second full-length, "Capitals," in 2007. As one might expect, LJUNGBLUT's sound is absolutely nothing like ZEROMANCER and is oriented toward a wider audience. You will find no extremity, no guitar shredding, no harsh electronic beats, and no industrial samples here. Like the debut, the material is British-style rock in the vein of RADIOHEAD, SNOW PATROL, and MUSE — in other words, a potential chart contender, although, as always happens, without proper promotion and media exposure, LJUNGBLUT will remain an entirely personal and underground project. It's hard to predict how metalheads will respond to this project, but fans of simply melodic, melancholic, and tranquil music will definitely find LJUNGBLUT to their liking.
