The new Nightwish album recording, called "Once", is complete, mixing and mastering is over, there is not much time left for waiting. Being on tenterhooks? Than for the most inpatient - four tracks single. It is opened with title song "Nemo", which starts with unforgettable keyboard intro. After the introduction the principal distinguishing feature of the band - delightful vocals of Tarja Turunen - has been brought to the place. Interesting thing, the first verse background is created by drums and bass-guitar, after the first chorus the Emppu Vuorinen guitar takes place. Approximately after the 2/3 of track is passed there is proprietory Nightwish slow down solo in Scorpions style. Many probably know the London symphonic orchestra, famous for playing soundtracks for "Master of the Ring", had participated in recording the album (as well as the single). Yeah, the Finnish didn't lie, the orchestra is present, but in "Nemo" it's heard primarily in refrains in form of flowing and melodic string passages. However the orchestra part in the second track "Planet Hell" (will be also in album) is more distinctive. Namely it begins the song, then the drums join, and after - slashing guitars in manner of Slaying the Dreamer from "Century Child". Here Tarja sings not alone - in duet with bassist Marco Hietala, here and there the choir could be heard, performing the staccato A's. Number three in the single stands for White Night Fantasy, not intended to be in album.

It has not fit for "Once", perhaps of its lightness, though there was non-metallic Forever Yours in two-years old LP. White Night Fantasy - is quite interesting song, the salt is imparted by enigmatic and merry singings performed by Tarja. The track sound is closer to "Nemo", but without orchestra and acoustic guitar passage instead. To put an end to the single the musicians decided with the same "Nemo", this time in orchestra version. The thing is surely for fans and it differs from the origin with the absence of drums and all guitars; the Tuomas keyboards prelude was kept as well as the mentioned above solo. Waiting for "Once"!
