A fresh release from Sakis and company. Let us see what we have here. Some had predicted the imminent demise of this project (there were even rumors that the Catholic Church had excommunicated them — but the Greeks are Orthodox, so perhaps it was their local church that treated the stars so unkindly; in any case, I doubt it upset them much). So, in defiance of all detractors, ROTTING CHRIST clearly have no intention of leaving the stage. And although the new album falls slightly short of Genesis in terms of sheer power, it has its own charm: the use of female vocals, sometimes in a choral arrangement, and a considerably broader application of keyboards. At first it somewhat recalled the unforgettable Dani Filth, but that was only a first impression — and first impressions, as they say, can be deceiving. All in all, I think this band of blasphemers will delight their fans, having once again managed to weld together a blend of melody and aggression with their signature flavor, in their trademark style.
