This is already the second studio effort from these hot-blooded Finnish lads, titled "Bloodsoaked and Ill-Fated." I hadn't heard the first one, but this one is quite intriguing. From the opening track, the musicians plunge us into an atmosphere of horror. Harsh guitar riffs, unconventional arrangements, superb drum work, distinctive electronic interludes, and finally the voice — which I would describe as very aggressive. Many compositions are executed in a style unusual for black metal. There are similarities to SAMAEL, but rather than being a drawback, this actually lends the band its own original sound. My verdict: a must-have for all fans of black-death music.
