The demo is thoroughly permeated with bitter cold. The cold title, the lyrics, and the music itself. Something like this evokes no emotions other than a subtle sadness. Everything simply screams of the melancholy reflections and experiences of the sole musician behind VINUM SABBATI.
The disc contains only 6 compositions. Among them are two instrumentals: the prologue "Winter Waters" and the epilogue "...And Forever." The music combines doom and black metal. The songs have long, melodic introductions, plenty of keyboards, and the guitar parts are sufficiently heavy and rhythmic. Clean vocals alternate with black metal vocals.
The opening of the composition "Flowers of Ice" somewhat recalls the stylistic approach of the legendary Kino.
The sound quality is decent and the lyrics are interesting, but it's still quite far from perfection.
