DREAMWELL

Post-Hardcore / Screamo / Metalcore
Providence, Rhode Island, 🇺🇸United States Formed in 2016

DREAMWELL formed in Providence, Rhode Island in 2016 and spent their early years working the American DIY circuit before the 2020 EP Painting Myself A Darker Day pushed them beyond it. The self-released debut full-length Modern Grotesque (2021) welded post-rock's shimmering guitar work to the abrasion of screamo, and its follow-up, In My Saddest Dreams, I Am Beside You (2023), sharpened that formula with heavier, more confrontational metalcore edges — earning the band a wave of critical praise and a split with Britain's DEATH GOALS in 2024.

Now signed to Prosthetic Records, the self-described "post-skramz" quartet — vocalist Keziah "KZ" Staska, guitarist Ryan Couitt, bassist Justin Soares and drummer Anthony Montalbano — return with their third album, Hymns For The Denial Of God, due 28 August 2026. Recorded at Silver Bullet Studios in Connecticut with producer Chris Teti, the record turns torrential screams and off-kilter riffing on the weaponization of faith, examining what happens when something meant to unite people ends up driving them apart.
