STREET TOMBS

STREET TOMBS came together in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 2017, forged at The Cave — the legendary underground venue where the band hosted shows for the DIY punk and metal community of northern New Mexico. Their sound welds the death metal grit of early SEPULTURA and BOLT THROWER to the rabid d-beat and street punk of DISCHARGE and G.B.H.

Three demos — Web Of Death (2018), Schizophrenic Visions (2020) and RIP The Abyss (2021) — preceded the debut full-length Reclusive Decay, issued by Carbonized Records in February 2023. It became an underground favourite: Metal Injection heard "a cross between early thrash and punk rock mixed with some serious Bolt Thrower vibes," No Clean Singing singled out its "colossal, cavern-deep vocals," and Decibel Magazine placed it at No. 38 on its Top 40 Albums of 2023. The band toured hard behind it, including the Reborn Dead Tour with LEFT TO DIE and a North American run with NECROT around 2024's archival compilation LP, also titled RIP The Abyss.

The quartet — vocalist/guitarist Damian Jacoby, guitarist/backing vocalist David McMaster, bassist Galen Baudhuin and drummer Ben Brodsky — recorded second album Existence Is Corruption at Santa Fe's Engine 70 Studios with producer Greg Wilkinson, leaning further into first-wave black metal roots (HELLHAMMER, CELTIC FROST, BATHORY, AMEBIX) while sharpening the d-beat attack. Carbonized releases it on 21 August 2026.
