Swedish melodic death metal force THE HALO EFFECT have announced a major European headline tour for February and March 2027, with LACUNA COIL and OMNIUM GATHERUM joining as special guests.
The announcement follows the release of the band's latest single "Lest We Fall" — a hard-hitting collaborative track featuring Marcus Bischoff (HEAVEN SHALL BURN) and Brian Eschbach (THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER) — and a successful run of shows with both those bands. The 2027 tour spans 23 dates across Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain, Switzerland, Hungary, Austria, Czech Republic, Poland, and Finland.
Guitarist Niclas Engelin said: "Halos in Europe, we can't wait to be back on the road in 2027! This time we bring the almighty LACUNA COIL and OMNIUM GATHERUM with us, who we have been friends with for a long time. We look forward to an amazing time with you all!"
THE HALO EFFECT — featuring vocalist Mikael Stanne (DARK TRANQUILLITY), guitarists Jesper Strömblad and Niclas Engelin, bassist Peter Iwers, and drummer Daniel Svensson — emerged in 2021 and quickly became one of modern death metal's most talked-about acts. Their debut album Days Of The Lost earned a Swedish Grammis nomination; the 2025 follow-up March Of The Unheard received widespread critical acclaim and the band took home the "Rising Star" award at the 2024 Metal Hammer Awards.
The band will also appear at summer festivals including Hellfest, Sweden Rock, Rock Am Härtsfeldsee, and Kaaos Festival. Presale begins April 16; general on sale starts April 17.
