UK thrash metal veterans ACID REIGN have released the music video for "Sorrowsworn," a single from "Daze Of The Week," out May 15 on Back On Black Records. It is the band's first full-length since "The Age Of Entitlement" (2019).
Vocalist Howard "H" Smith — the sole remaining original member — has called this the most exciting release of his 41-year career. Produced by Jayce Lewis, who flew in from New York, the album features: Smith, lead guitarist Matt Smith, drummer Johnny Grimley (ex-SHRAPNEL), rhythm guitarist Darren McGillivray (WRATH OF MAN), and bassist Pete Dee.
Formed in 1985 in Tamworth, ACID REIGN are considered part of the "Big Four" of British thrash alongside ONSLAUGHT, SABBAT, and XENTRIX. After disbanding in 1991, they reunited after a 24-year absence and have been active for over a decade.
Smith: "In all my 41 years in this band... I have never been more excited by the prospect of anything than releasing 'Daze Of The Week.'"
