BIOHAZARD founding member and frontman Evan Seinfeld has detailed a new solo project separate from the band, telling journalist Elena Rosberg that fans can expect the first release in 2027.
"I'm working on a new music project that's really about my lifestyle, about transformation, about constant transformation," Seinfeld said. Describing the sound, he explained: "It'll have electronic elements, but it's still really hard, so it's kind of like trap metal, if you wish, with a hardcore attitude." He confirmed a timeline for the material, saying, "I will release something in '27," and teased an extensive list of guest artists: "You can expect a lot of collaborations with my new project."
Seinfeld stressed that the venture is entirely independent of BIOHAZARD, the pioneering Brooklyn crossover band he co-founded in 1987 and helped define with a fusion of hardcore, metal and hip-hop that predated much of the nu-metal wave that followed. The new project instead leans further into electronic production and trap rhythms while retaining the aggressive, hardcore-rooted attitude that has defined Seinfeld's music throughout his career.
Since relocating to Tulum, Mexico in 2021, Seinfeld has expanded well beyond music, running the men's support platform Mantorship and the Full Metal Fitness training app alongside his ongoing musical output. The 2027 target for the new project gives him roughly a year to finalize the collaborations he has teased, with no specific names yet confirmed.
BIOHAZARD, meanwhile, remains active as a band, with Seinfeld continuing to balance his outside ventures alongside the group's ongoing legacy in the crossover and hardcore scenes. Further details on the solo project, including a title and specific collaborators, are expected to be announced as the 2027 release date approaches.
