BROKEN BY THE SCREAM Releases First Metal Blade Records Single '花鏑 [HANAKABURA],' Set For Wacken Mainstage

BROKEN BY THE SCREAM has released a new single, "花鏑 [HANAKABURA]," marking the Japanese band's first release for Metal Blade Records.

BROKEN BY THE SCREAM has built its rapid rise on a sound that collides idol-style vocals with blistering metalcore precision and extreme metal intensity, delivered through a four-vocalist lineup of Tsubaki Nanaougi, Shizuku Mikogami, Yayoi Takayashiki and Io Nozukidaira. "花鏑 [HANAKABURA]" captures that signature contrast of soaring melodies, vicious screams and punishing metallic aggression while pushing the band's sound to greater extremes.

The band found inspiration for the track in its new label deal. "Everyone in BROKEN BY THE SCREAM is truly excited and honored to release music through Metal Blade Records," the band said. "In ancient Japan, there was a special type of arrow called a 'Kaburaya' which was traditionally used to signal the beginning of a battle. The title 'HANAKABURA' is our own original word, inspired by the image of a Kaburaya arrow cutting through falling cherry blossom petals. We feel it is the perfect song to mark the beginning of our own battle and a new chapter for the band."

"花鏑 [HANAKABURA]" arrives on all streaming platforms this Friday, July 24.

Already known for their electrifying live shows and genre-defying approach, BROKEN BY THE SCREAM will bring the new track to audiences across a European and U.K. tour this summer, highlighted by a mainstage performance at WACKEN OPEN AIR on July 29.
