A new feature documentary chronicling the final years of former IRON MAIDEN frontman Paul Di'Anno is set to arrive on UK digital platforms July 27 via Miracle Media, following its theatrical run and ahead of his posthumous induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame later this year.

Titled "Di'Anno: Iron Maiden's Lost Singer," the film comes from director Wes Orshoski, who previously helmed the Motörhead documentary "Lemmy." Orshoski followed Di'Anno from 2017 up to 2023, a year before the singer's death, capturing what the filmmakers describe as a stark and intimate account of his declining health, financial struggles and improbable comeback.

Di'Anno emerged from the East London punk scene to become IRON MAIDEN's original recording vocalist, fronting the band on their self-titled 1980 debut and 1981's "Killers" before his exit. He went on to lead BATTLEZONE, KILLERS and ARCHITECTS OF CHAOZ across a long and turbulent career, becoming known for what Louder Sound once called his "punkish snarl."

The documentary centers on Di'Anno's relocation to Croatia for potentially lifesaving surgery, made possible by fans Kastro Pergjoni and Stjepan Juras, who raised money to help the wheelchair-bound singer walk again. The film follows him through knee surgery, financial hardship, reunions with old friends and a new relationship, as his health gradually turns around thanks to the efforts of fans, doctors, nurses and former bandmates — building toward what the filmmakers call a "heroic, risky and drama-filled return to the stage."

The cast of interviewees reads like a who's-who of heavy metal: former IRON MAIDEN bandmate Steve Harris, METALLICA's James Hetfield, KISS's Gene Simmons, and members of EXODUS, OVERKILL, SLAYER, MEGADETH and SEPULTURA all appear to reflect on Di'Anno's legacy.

Described by its makers as "a vulnerable, unfiltered and uplifting tale of determination, despair" and the power of fan devotion, "Di'Anno: Iron Maiden's Lost Singer" arrives on UK digital platforms July 27 via Miracle Media.
