German heavy metal icon Doro Pesch says she is working on new music, with a mini album or EP tentatively planned for release later this year.

"Got new music on the way... I think in November, December, I wanna put out a mini album, an EP," Doro said, indicating the project — currently carrying the working title "Wild At Heart" — remains in development while she focuses on an active summer touring schedule and festival appearances.

The planned EP would follow "Warriors Of The Sea," which Doro released in fall 2025 through her own label, Rare Diamonds Production. That project grew directly out of her Metal Queen Metal Cruises, a series of themed cruise events held in May and June 2025 that have since become a recurring fixture, with a third edition taking place in June 2026. Doro's most recent full-length studio album, "Conqueress - Forever Strong And Proud," was released in October 2023 via Nuclear Blast.

Now well into her fifth decade as one of heavy metal's most enduring frontwomen, Doro — who first rose to prominence fronting WARLOCK in the 1980s before launching her solo career — continues to balance a heavy touring calendar with a steady stream of new material, rather than the longer gaps between releases that have characterized some of her peers. This summer alone has seen Doro make appearances across Europe's festival circuit, continuing a live schedule that has remained largely uninterrupted since her earliest days fronting Warlock four decades ago. With "Wild At Heart" still described as a working title, further details on tracklist, guest appearances or a specific release date are expected as the year progresses.
