New Orleans grindcore veterans FLESH PARADE have returned with a double release: the new CD single "Repercussions" and a 2026 remaster of their 1997 classic "Kill Whitey," both out now via Mainstay Entertainment in collaboration with Haunted Hotel Records.
Formed in the chaotic underground of New Orleans in the early 1990s, FLESH PARADE built its reputation on speed, intensity and raw energy across decades of uncompromising grindcore, sharing stages with acts that have come to define the genre. "Repercussions" doubles as both a statement of intent for the band's next chapter and a tribute to late bassist Jorge Caicedo, whose 2026 passing deeply affected the FLESH PARADE family. All proceeds from the single will benefit the American Cancer Society's Patrick F. Taylor Hope Lodge Foundation for Cancer Research & Cures, channeling the loss into a cause the band has framed as a way to make the tragedy count for something lasting.
The companion reissue, "Kill Whitey (2026 Remastered)," revisits the band's infamous 1997 album, originally released via Relapse Records, sharpening its blast beats, riffs and vocal assault with modern production while preserving the record's original relentlessness. Paired together, the two releases give FLESH PARADE both a nod to its foundational catalog and a fresh single built around groove-driven, punishing songwriting.
The band's current momentum follows a difficult stretch defined by Caicedo's death, with original bassist Shane Lechler now back in the fold. His return has reinvigorated FLESH PARADE, reflected in recent high-profile appearances at Milwaukee Metal Fest and at a memorial festival held in New Orleans in Caicedo's honor. With both a tribute single and a catalog remaster now in the world, FLESH PARADE is already looking ahead to further live dates as it shapes the next era of the band.
