Polish thrash metal band KOMUTATOR will release their long-awaited second studio album, "We Don't Owe You Anything," on September 18 via Via Nocturna, and has shared a video for the song "Let It Bomb."
Founded in 2006 by guitarist Michał "Kinder" Kowalski, KOMUTATOR quickly established itself within the Polish underground metal scene with its debut album, "Metal Sadism." Following years of inactivity, the band now returns after a 13-year hiatus, bringing new energy and a renewed creative vision while remaining faithful to its uncompromising approach to heavy music.
Recorded between 2024 and 2026, "We Don't Owe You Anything" was developed over an extended period, allowing the material to evolve naturally through multiple recording sessions. The album was tracked at Heinrich House Studio and Turnia Studio (Halny), while mixing and mastering duties were handled by Filip Hałucha at Heinrich House Studio, whose credits include BAALZAGOTH, BEHEMOTH and DEUS MORTEM.
Musically, the album is KOMUTATOR's most diverse work to date, combining relentless thrash metal aggression with moments of melancholy, tension and reflection. Lyrically, "We Don't Owe You Anything" focuses on humanity's self-inflicted decline — not through apocalyptic destruction, but through the everyday choices that erode values, freedom and human identity, examining a world where truth is distorted, freedom becomes illusion, and people are treated as resources rather than individuals.
The album features guest appearances from Wojciech Kostrzewa of ASGAARD, who contributed samples on "Metathesiophobia"; Szczepan Inglot of WOLFPACK HEADING NOWHERE, who wrote lyrics for "The Doom We Crave" and "Inhuman Resources" and provided guest vocals on the latter; and Jacek Hiro of SCEPTIC, who plays a guest solo on "Watch Beauty Die."
KOMUTATOR's lineup features Andrzej Halupczok on drums, Michał "Kinder" Kowalski on guitars and backing vocals, Jacek Zema on vocals, and Maciek Zalsiński on guitars.
"We Don't Owe You Anything" spans nine tracks: "Harbinger," "The Doom We Crave," "Let It Bomb," "Inhuman Resources," the instrumental "Metathesiophobia," "Watch Beauty Die," "Monster," "Season Of Storms" and the title track.
